Show your crew's QR code or send its link. Your friends scan or tap, and they're in. Up to 16 people.
When your signal fades, CrowdWire keeps going. Text, talk, and find each other the same as always.
Your crews and your one-to-one chats sit together in one list. Add a friend from one of your crews, or scan their friend QR, and it's just the two of you.
Pin the chats you check most, mute the noisy ones, and search every message. A muted chat still lets an SOS through.
An arrow points the way to each friend and shows how far away they are. You can see when each location was last updated, so you never chase an old spot.
Or send a flare. One tap tells your crew "Come find me", "On my way", "All good", or "Need a hand".
Press and hold the map to drop a rally point. Your whole crew sees the pin, even with no signal.
Download your festival's map before you leave home. Stages, water, medics, and exits are all saved on your phone, and everyone who joins your crew gets the map too.
It works like a walkie-talkie for your crew. Hold the button and they hear you. Let go to listen.

Your crew gets your location right away. CrowdWire keeps sending it until you end it, and shows you who has seen it.
SOS only reaches your crew. It does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, find event staff or call for help.
Your phone connects straight to other phones nearby using Bluetooth. Each one hands your message to the next, like a note passed through the crowd, until it reaches your friend.
The more people around, the farther it goes. The crowds that jam cell service are where CrowdWire works best.
Nobody in between can read it. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so only the people they're meant for can open them.
They see your name and photo. Everyone else sees a random tag.

Yes. CrowdWire connects phones directly over Bluetooth, so it works with no cell service and no wifi.
Between two phones, about as far as Bluetooth reaches. In a crowd, messages hop from phone to phone, so the more people nearby using CrowdWire, the farther they travel.
Up to 16. Anyone in the crew can invite more with the crew's QR code or link. Everyone in the crew sees the chat and any rally points.
Yes. Message any friend, or anyone you share a crew with, one to one. To add a friend, ask someone in one of your crews, or scan their friend QR.
No. Only your friends and people in your crews can message you. You can also block anyone: you won't see anything they send, and they aren't told.
No. Messages are encrypted before they leave your phone. The phones that pass them along can't open them.
Only when you have signal, as a backup. Your crew and private messages also go over the internet then, so friends across the festival, or back home, still get them. They stay encrypted end to end, so nothing in between can read them. You can turn this off in Settings.
No. SOS sends your location to your crews and keeps sending it until you end it. In an emergency, find event staff or call for help.
Yes. Say "Send an SOS with CrowdWire" to open the SOS button, or "Find my crew with CrowdWire" to see which way your crew is and how far.
Not right now. CrowdWire is iPhone only.
CrowdWire comes in 29 languages and uses the one your iPhone is set to. To pick a different one just for CrowdWire, tap Language in Settings, on the You tab.
